Amazing to find that the same theological discussions as I have had occurred 400 years ago. Basic argument is that of predestination versus individual choice. I back the latter disagreeing with Saint Paul in that I believe “good works” are essential to personal development, and was given the chance to be in the pulpit at Selly oak Methodist church a few months ago to make this precise point. Arminius pointed that out and this is why I appreciate his contribution to religious thought!
