Funeral of Sir Doug. I worked on the Aston Villa Development Committee for four years under Gurdev Manku – a great sport on the Council. Doug lived a full life from 3rd. January 1924 to 11th. October 2018. He made a great success of the all in holiday package concept and then invested it in the Aston Villa football club which he took to the heights. He will be sorely missed in Birmingham, and not only by Villa fans, but those who were the recipients of his great charitable donations including the sports facilities of Aston And Birmingham Universities.
